Ingredients Needed

Wheat Rava – 500 gms
Sugar – 2 kg
Ghee – 650 gms
Hot Water – 12 cups
Cashew – 1 1/2 cup
Cardamon Powder – 2 tsp
Milk – 4 tsp
Red Colour Powder – 1 tsp

Method
Wash the Rava nicely and soak in clean water for min 7 hours
Grind it well and extract the milk with hot water.
You will need repeat the extracting process for 7 to 8 times.
The final grinded wheat rava will not have any essense in it.
The extracted milk needs to be undisturbed for min 10 hours and then remove the top layer of water and retain only the thick milk.
Place a wide pan and add 4 cups of water and mix the sugar to it once the sugar starts boiling add 4 table spoons of milk to it and remove the dirt that settles on the corner.
The sugar syrup has to be in one string level once thats done add the red colour powder in a tsp of water and mix well in the sugar syrup.
Mix well and then add the thick wheat rava milk to it and stir nicely.
Once the milk gets thick add a cup of hot water and 4 tsp of ghee to it.
You need to do it everytime the mixture gets thick and make sure it does not stick to the pan. It would take almost 30 mins to 40 mins to cook and before you add the last cup of water and the ghee Add the cashews and caradom powder and stir for another 10 mins. Mix well add more ghee if you need.
When the ghee oozes out in the corner the halwa is done so keep stirring until its soft and creamy. Switch off the flame and you can either serve it hot directly or place it on a greased plate and cut into diamond shape.
